The company is a joint venture between U.S. Bank and VISA, and is a business-to-business network for corporations and governments to process and track invoices, make and receive payments around the world, and have payables or receivables financed through local and global financial institutions.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced hybrid User Experience Designer to join the product management team to help further our global interaction and visual design efforts.
You’ll be responsible for the creation of all UI Prototypes within product management. Product managers are the business process subject matter experts, and this position creates the prototypes but also enforces alignment of standard design practice and user experience across all UI.
Basic responsibilities include:
¦ Applying user-centered design processes to create high quality user experiences
¦ Work closely with product managers and developers to define product direction and UI requirements
¦ Managing multiple design projects from strategic product definition to launch
¦ Create the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, schematics and interface guidelines and specifications
¦ Create interactive prototypes for user and market research in collaboration with product managers (who are the domain experts).
¦ Work with usability researchers to design and observe usability studies and translate usability research findings into design improvements
Skills and Experience
¦ 3-5 years experience as a member of a User Experience Design team participating in the product development lifecycle of several successfully launched websites
¦ Degree in Human Factors, HCI, industrial design, visual arts of related area preferred.
¦ Hybrid role – both interaction and development integration experience
¦ Candidate must have examples that demonstrate strategic creative thinking and be able to articulate why the creative process and choices made in UI design elements.
¦ Must be process driven, demonstrate strong interaction design skills, careful attention to details and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles
¦ Solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies (HTML,DHTML,CSS). Current prototype is in HTML
¦ Keys to success include being a tenacious problem solver with hands-on leadership and decision-making skills.
¦ Knowledge of key supply chain and financial processes preferred but not required.
