**Web traffic for this company is increasing 10% per week. Total users by the end of Q1 2011 to be approx. double from Q4 2010. THIS IS WHERE THE ACTION IS AT!
You'll analyze website development requirements and procedures to improve existing website performance and develop enhancements, performing the following duties within a coordinated development team.
1. Work within the development team in a continuous agile development process to define process flow, implementation plan, development methods, and timeline. 2. Work with Data Architect, Software Architect, and other Application Programmers to insure that shared methodologies are adhered to when creating pages, queries and data structures. 3. Responsible for determining data requirements, table structure, report design, and program logic. Insure that enhancements to the site are compatible with existing methods. 4. Write code for website – queries, stored procedures, etc. Test programs in a test environment to confirm programs are error-free, and meet user specifications. Continue to monitor site performance after implementation, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend optimizations where applicable. 5. Develop and maintain interface between coexisting databases. These databases include, but are not limited to content management, student, class and admin records. 6. Write and maintain complete documentation of process flow, user requirements, program design, and user instructions.
- We're looking for a 5+ yr resource. - Strong knowledge of PHP, Javascript, Ajax, and willingness to learn new web technologies. - Knowledge of Model-View-Controller and object-oriented frameworks. - Database experience with MySQL. - Knowledge of database design and relationships. - Familiarity with application profilers and optimization techniques. - Recognize processing inefficiencies and recommends improvements. - Experience in developing responsive and stable high traffic sites. - Possesses sound analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
