This is a contract opportunity in the West/Northwest suburbs. Duration is 3 months with strong likelihood of extension thru the end of the year.
The company is a Fortune 500 company in the midst of huge initiatives. The nature of their business is information and proprietary software products. It's the perfect place for anyone looking to ride the wave in the latest and greatest technologies.
*This in an in-house position.
- Exp. in a Agile/SCRUM/paired programming env.
- Good Java fundamentals,
- Strong Comp Sci fundamentals, not EE skills.
- OO programming at the systems level.
- OO language outside of Java such as Ruby, Smalltalk, and Lisp are highly desirable.
- Someone committed to SOA is not a good candidate.
- Must think outside the J2EE/SOA box.
- Exp. with Test Driven Development is a big plus.
- Flex or Actionscript is a plus but not a show stopper.
- Product Development exp. highly desirable.
- Architectural type exp. highly desirable.
